Suzanne Zimmerman

Kindergarten

Suzanne Zimmerman is a graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, earning both a Bachelors in Education and a Masters degree focusing on special education. She served as a kindergarten teacher at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kenosha, WI, a teacher at the Minnesota Autism Center in Mankato, MN, a preschool teacher at Jesus Loves Me Learning Center in North Mankato, MN, and a kindergarten teacher at Divine Savior Academy in Doral, Florida.

 

 
Marlene Faugstad

Marlene Faugstad

Gr. 1 & 2

Mrs. Marlene Faugstad is the 1st and 2nd grade teacher. She attended Bethany Lutheran College and Bemidji State University for her elementary education degree. She graduated from Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin with her master’s in education with a literacy focus. Mrs. Faugstad is a licensed teacher in Minnesota and Florida with a K-6th grade license in Elementary Education and a 5-8 license in Social Studies. Her Reading Specialist license is pending. Mrs. Faugstad is a native of Minnesota and has been an educator for 24 years.

 

 

Caroline Ring

Gr. 3 & 4

Mrs. Caroline Ring is the teacher for grades 3 & 4. She attended Bethany Lutheran College and Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota for her degree in Elementary Education. She has taught in Minnesota, Washington and now here in Florida.

 

 

Mark Faugstad

Gr. 5 & 6/English

Pr Mark Faugstad is the homeroom teacher for grades 5 & 6. In addition to teaching fifth and sixth grades, he also teaches language arts for the seventh and eighth grades. He graduated from Bethany Lutheran College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. Before coming to Christ Lutheran in 2015, he was the pastor for two churches in Northern Minnesota.

He also serves as an assistant pastor at Christ Lutheran Church.

 

 

Daniel Nusbaum

Gr. 7 & 8 History/Athletic Director

Mr. Daniel Nusbaum is the homeroom teacher for grades 7 & 8. He teaches most of the history classes for grades 5-12. He grew up in Potosi, Wisconsin and attended Bethany Lutheran College. His degree is in Broadfield Social Studies with Secondary Licensure as well as a minor in American Studies.

 

 
Alexander Ring

Alexander Ring

Academic Dean, High School/Latin

Pr Alex Ring is the homeroom teacher for grades 9 & 10. Before teaching at Christ he taught in Tacoma, WA for 25 years. Now he teaches Literature, Religion and Logic in the high school, Latin in grades 7-12 and maths for grades 6 & 7. He grew up in Dallas, TX and attended both Bethany Lutheran College and Mankato State University for Elementary Education, and is a graduate of Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary.

Pastor Ring also serves Christ Lutheran Church as an assistant pastor.

 

 

Kevin Zimmerman

High School

Kevin Zimmerman is a graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, earning both a Bachelor’s in Education and then later a Masters degree focusing on science in education. He served as a teacher at Shoreland Lutheran High School in Kenosha, WI and then later at Bethany Lutheran College as Director of Online Learning. He serves at Christ Lutheran as our high school math and science teacher, as well as the junior & senior homeroom teacher.

 

 

Mrs. Erica Jacobsen is a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the mother of students in our school, having homeschooled her oldest children through high school. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s in Chemical Education. She served as an associate editor and as High School editor for the Journal of Chemical Education for 12 years, and taught at Columbia Lutheran School in The Dalles, Oregon, then Lakewood Lutheran School in Lakewood, Washington.

 

 

Mrs. Tomi King is a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional with a degree in Business Administration from Kaiser University and a focus on Early Childhood Education. With a passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs, she creates a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. Tomi is committed to fostering strong relationships with students and their families, utilizing creativity and collaboration to enhance the educational experience. Her dedication to empowering young learners makes her a valuable member of our educational community.

Mrs. Betsy Wildner is a member of Christ Lutheran Church, with students in our school. She worked as an assistant since 2016, and as the admin. assistant since 2020.
